1️⃣ Full Checkpoint Coverage - A Challenging Release!

Full Checkpoint Coverage was released this week! A massive achievement for Civitai, bringing an unprecedented level of choice and flexibility to our users. However, it’s also been one of the most challenging rollouts we’ve faced.

With the shift to our new middleware and hardware required to support this rollout, generator stability hasn’t yet reached the level we’re aiming for, and we’ve encountered image quality issues along the way. It’s been a trial, but we’re making steady, incremental improvements toward full stability.

Previously, users could generate with around 200 checkpoints - now, that number has skyrocketed to over 25,000. Once we get job success rates and timing under control, this will be a huge win for our community, unlocking an unprecedented level of creative potential.

2️⃣ Boost Your Models to Success!

With the release of our Checkpoint Coverage update, we’ve launched a new way to get your model noticed - Auctions! This replaces the old Feature Request system with a more dynamic, accessible, and community-driven approach that gives users direct control over Featured slots.

Ready to take part? Find out how it all works here, then head to the new Auctions link in the Profile-Picture Menu to start bidding and shape what gets Featured on Civitai!

3️⃣ Prompt Parser Update

As part of the major updates for Full Checkpoint Coverage, we had to bring our backend up to date. In doing so, we uncovered a long-standing issue - prompts entered into Civitai’s prompt box were being interpreted using Automatic1111’s parsing system, which normalizes prompt weights in a way that reduces precision and control.

With Automatic1111’s codebase now largely abandoned, we made the tough decision to switch to ComfyUI’s prompt parsing, which provides more accurate and predictable results. However, this means that older prompts with heavily weighted tokens will no longer produce the same results as before.

To ease this transition, we’ve implemented several changes to mitigate the impact, and you can read more about them here. While this wasn’t a change we wanted to rush, it was necessary to ensure long-term stability and better generation quality. We appreciate your patience as we continue to fine-tune the system for the best possible experience!
