Greetings, Civitans! Welcome to the twenty-eighth edition of Civitai Biweekly, your essential guide to all recent developments and updates within Civitai.

1️⃣ New Content Classification System!

One of the most significant site changes in the past year is here, with the new Content Classification System! Ditching the binary Safe and Everything system, we’ve implemented a much more granular system of five new content levels; PG, PG-13, R, X, and XXX.

2️⃣ LoRA Trainer Updates

We’ve made huge changes to the on-site LoRA Trainer, adding the following features;

• Auto-Captioning! Upload your images and have our Auto-Captioning system do the hard work of applying appropriate training tags/captions!

• Custom base model training! Pick any base model from Civitai to train your LoRA against!

• Pony Diffusion XL V6 training! Train your new LoRA against the wildly popular Pony Diffusion Model, as one of our officially supported base models.

• Custom prompts for Epoch sample images! Provide your own prompts for the Epoch sample images to help determine the quality of your training!

• Training duration and queue length estimates! See how long your training will be queued before starting, and how long it will take to train!

• Save Training Data (pre-train)! You can now save your captioned images before moving to the model select/training step!

3️⃣ Test Your Image Rating Ability with Rater

Want to help Civitai’s moderation effort? Play a few rounds of the Civitai “mini-game” Rater!

Rater challenges players to accurately rate images, with the data collected being used by Civitai to further enhance our automated content moderation systems in future.

4️⃣ Need Support? New Options!

We’ve streamlined our Support options, making it easier than ever to get the answers you need to your Civitai related questions! Look for the new Support Page button in the bottom right of Civitai.com.

Our 🍀 Civitai Celtic Creations Contest 🍀 ended last week with over 5,000 accepted entries! Every submission was absolutely outstanding, and the Staff Pick images were particularly hard to judge!

We’ve listed the winning images for each category, below;

1️⃣ Emad Resigns as CEO of Stability AI!

In a surprise announcement late on Friday March 23rd, Stability AI announced the resignation of CEO, Emad Mostaque. Speculation abounds on Social Media, but the push toward developing commercialized AI products is likely a factor; Emad posted a number of statements on X shortly after the announcement, championing the open and decentralized development of AI.

2️⃣ Stunning Generative AI Music from Suno AI

One of the first txt2audio models, Riffusion, dropped over a year ago, wowing us all with grainy beats. Since then, we’ve seen a bunch of increasingly good audio models, and now we have Suno AI! You have to hear it to believe it; 2+ minute long tracks with vocals (or instrumental) that are just mind-blowingly good!

We’ve been busy updating our Frequently Asked Questions page, and have added a Known Issues section for particularly persistent bugs! If you have questions about Civitai, the FAQ should be your first stop - but you can also ask CivBot!
