1️⃣ Ads Return to Civitai!

That’s right! Ads have returned to Civitai, offering you a new way to earn Buzz and generate images for free. By simply scrolling through the site, you can passively accumulate "Generation Buzz" which helps cover our costs while providing more opportunities for free daily generations.

We've kept the ads as unobtrusive as possible, and paying Civitai Members will never see them (unless they wish to!). It's another way for us to give back to the community, ensuring everyone can keep creating! Find out all the details!

2️⃣ Civitai.green!

We’re excited for roll-out of Civitai.green, a safer-for-work version of Civitai designed to make the site accessible to everyone. Civitai.green offers the same incredible content and tools you love, but with additional pre-set filtering to ensure a completely PG experience - no NSFW content in sight.

While Civitai.com remains unchanged for those who prefer the full experience, Civitai.green is perfect for users who want to explore what Civitai has to offer without encountering mature content. This new platform will also open up exciting opportunities to engage with a wider audience and bring more creators into our community.

3️⃣ New Payment Processor - and PayPal support!

Civitai has transitioned to a new payment provider, Paddle. This update is designed to enhance your experience on our platform by providing a smoother and more seamless payment process - enabling access to new payment options including PayPal, AliPay and more! 4️⃣ Civitai Top 10 Consumer Generative AI Apps - Again!

We’re thrilled to announce that, for the second year in a row, Civitai has made it into the Top 10 of the Top 100 Gen AI Consumer Apps list, curated by A16z! This recognition highlights the incredible growth of our community and the impact we're making in the world of generative AI.

5️⃣ Buzz Beggars’ Board

We’ve instituted the Buzz Beggars' Board, a playful new way to share and earn Buzz within the Civitai community! This public collection of user-submitted images is open to anyone who wants to "beg" for Buzz. Whether you're running low or just want to join in the fun, submit your funniest begging images, and gracious benefactors can tip Buzz to the ones they love.

It’s a great way to spread the wealth and enjoy some community creativity. Check out the board and get involved!

We’ve introduced a comprehensive Changelog to keep you up-to-date with all the Major and Minor changes happening at Civitai. But Can It Run Crysis?

A new paper, Diffusion Models are Real-Time Game Engines, authored by some clever people from Google Research, have presented GameNGen, “the first game engine powered entirely by a neural model”.

GameNGen is demonstrated simulating the classic game DOOM at 20 frames per second, using “a diffusion model trained to produce the next frame, conditioned on the sequence of past frames and actions”. We’re living in the future!
